Day 3 - Your favourite couple

Anyone who knows me or follows me knows the answer to this already. :P Yes, Noel and Serah are my OTP in this game. I don’t care if its canon, if she still loves Snow, or if Noel was in love with Yuel. This ship isn’t a crack pairing. There’s a lot of shippy stuff between these two and, imo, you must be blind to have missed it. You don’t have to like it, but SE meant to imply something was up between these two regardless.

And I loved it.

One of the things I adore in Final Fantasy is when the love stories are fleshed out and the characters change together because of their experiences. Zack and Aerith, Cloud and Tifa, Garnet and Zidane, Yuna and Tidus, etc. Noel brings out the best in Serah. When these two are together, they compliment each other. He enforces her strength, he provides her with the hope to continue fighting for what she believes in. She does the same for him. When he needs space, Serah gives it to him. She knows what questions to ask and which ones to avoid. But she’s also good at getting him to reveal his true emotions without being pushy.

Even though the circumstances were dire throughout the entire game, these two were still happy with each other. I don’t know why else that would be if not because they were perfectly comfortable with each other and possibly because of feelings. The paradox ending with Serah proves this; she isn’t entirely happy without him, despite having everything her heart desires. When he’s gone, she feels as if something so important is missing. She feels incomplete. They grow so much together, I just. I can’t. ;~;

They are flawless! And I’ll ship it to my grave, even if Serah marries Snow and even if Noel goes off to be with Yuel. Nothing, nothing will change how I feel about this pairing. Bitch all you want, it only makes me love them more. <3
